SWIFA Teams:
There is a vacancy in the SWIFA Executive Committee due to the resignation of the Vice President. We
have nominated our current Secretary, Dean Lantrip, to fill that position.
This action creates a vacancy for the position of Secretary.
The Executive Committee is soliciting nominations for candidates to fill that position.
There will be a special meeting held at SWIFA #3 after close of registration to elect a replacement as
set forth in Article 6 of our By-Laws (excerpt below).

ARTICLE V: Management by the Executive Committee
Section 6. Replacement of Officers:
The Executive Committee may replace a member who has resigned or who has been removed by the
following procedure:
a. At any Special Meeting where a new member of the Executive Committee is to be voted upon, a
majority of the members of the Executive Committee must be present or attend by telephone or telephone
conferencing. The use of proxy votes is not allowed.
b. A majority of the member teams at this meeting must cast votes of approval before the new member of
the Executive Committee is approved.
